PoP's OLD ShoeBox was founded by Pop' (a.k.a. Oliver Thompson, Sr.) & Momma'  (a.k.a. Delphane Thompson) in 2005 and is located in Livermore, CA. a small Bay Area community which is 60 minutes East of San Francisco.  Livermore is one of the cities which make-up the Tri-Valley Area.  We are ringed by beautiful grassy hills.  You enter through the "Dublin Pass" and leave over the "Altamont Pass."  It's as beautiful as it sounds.  We raised three wonderful, handsome, strong son's here in the valley.  It was great to watch them grow up being apart of a community which really supports their young people.  The boys participated in all the youth sports programs while maintaining very good grades in school.  They played, Pop coached and I  joined the board of director's & booster clubs.  It was a fun, fine time.

It was almost as fun as kissing them each good-bye as they left in turn for college and on out into their lives.  Finally the nest was empty.  There is something to be said for "absence, and hundreds of miles making the heart grow fonder." --then Pop lost what was left of his mind!  He started buying everything and anything people were willing to sell or wasn't on fire.  People even out right give him stuff.  The man has a free standing metal, 3 foot tall "Joe Camel" cigarette sign.  The kind you see on sidewalks in front of liqueur stores.  Pop doesn't smoke or drink!!  So, why--why do I have big neon signs flashing the names of beer in my garage and spare guest room.  Needless to say-- its gotten a "weee-bit" out of hand.

Pop would like to service an expanded customer base via the internet, (Pop's a people person).  Momma'  just wants this stuff out of her garage, 2-spare bedrooms and dual storage facilities . . . . but, she does want it all to go to good homes.
